TV Audiences Adapting to New Technology

An interesting bunch of stats from GfK that illustrate how US television audiences are adapting to new media outlets and devices.

From a transmedia standpoint it is interesting to see that people using the internet at the same time as watching TV has more than doubled – 8% in 2008 to 19% in 2012.

As audiences quickly adapt to the new devices, I wonder if they will adapt so easily to the new kinds of transmedia storytelling that can be delivered on these new platforms. I hope so.
