Interesting to note that 66% of smart televisions in the UK are actually connected to the internet, compared with 56% in 2011. Does this mean buyers are unaware of their smart television’s functionality or are they planning to connect to the internet in the future?

    or is it the fact that the connectedness is just bundled into the higher end of TV sets these days? so people are buying the TV’s to watch TV and the connectedness is immaterial/incedental?

      Good point. Internet connections are up 10% in a year so maybe it’s just about awareness as well. A lot of money is being spent on pushing smart tv.
